I have come accross a 1936 Challenger sn#130641 it has been outside a long time. No hood, a cracked exhaust manifold, shot rubber tires, probably stuck. Any interest in something like this? Any ideas what it might be worth? Central OH location.

Hello,
I'm a collector from Australia and I've got a 1938 Pacemaker on steel wheels. Much the same tractor only yours is a rowcrop version( and green instead of red??). I think its a great tractor and you should go for it. The sheet metal hood wouldn't be very difficult to make. As for the exhaust I would think you could find another to replace it or possibly have it welded. If you scrounge around for some secondhand tyres you'd be surprised what turns up. I don't know what to say you should pay for it as it seems that prices over there are much higher than here. Reason with the owner that you would restore it and that you will possible have to spend some money doing it. I have kept my tractor original and it always seems to be popular with other collectors at rallies etc.

I'd be interested to know how you go. If a Challenger was available here I'd grab it!

Regards

Andrew
