I would like to know the pros and cons of the 1130 versus the 1150, are either tractor problematic in any way, and which has the better reputation. Also, any word on the availability of the models in todays market. I currently have a MF 175. Feel free to comment on it as well. Thanks alot guys.

Thanks
jeff

I have an 1130 and love the old girl, it's a 1969 and has seen lots of work. Needs restoration, hope to get to it sometime soon. It is like they have said, very powerful and very cheap on fuel. I have been amazed how much work i can do on a tank of fuel. Have a friend who had an IH 1096 which would use almost double the amount of fuel. Only Con that I have currently is that I have a problem with Diesel getting into the Oil, Have changed the lift pump, which had a hole in the diaphram and it allowed fuel into the oil directly, now problem back. Have not had time to check lift pump yet. Have been told that it is either the lift pump or a seal on the injector pump. Other than that, it always starts and is a super machine. I have just purchased a MF 40B industrial loader tractor also. Trying to keep with the MF tractors, seem to be easy to fix and Cheaper than the over priced Green machines! I agree with the other post that once you have an 1130 you will leave the 175 sitting much more!

I had both a 1130 and a 1150. Both are excellent tractors. The 1130 had plenty of power as did the 1150, but I think the 1150 was balanced better. The 1150 has the potential to make a lot more HP than the 1130. Once you get either one the old 175 will sit most of the time.

1130 Pros: excellent engine and it was used in a lot of different applications. Parts are easy to come by. Easy on fuel. Good solid work horse.
1150 Cons: 1100/1130/1150 all use the same rearend. More horse power means more wear. The Perkins 510 ci. V-8 is hard to find parts for. Hope this helps.
