Massey 44 rear wheels.

The neighbour has a Massey 44 that has no rear wheels or tires. The tractor has been parked for like 15 years. Can rims be found. Would ones from another tractor fit. Should I take the tractor off of his hands, or will it be a burdon on me.

These are standard 9-bolt hubs that about any like wheel will fit. Cockshutt, Oliver, Deere, IH all used these type so they should be readily available. The tractor itself is relatively easy to find parts for so unless it is a complete pile, it should not be a burden...

Is it just the bare hubs on the rear axles, or does it have the cast wheel center without the steel rim? Either one should be readily available. Rear stamped steel rims from the Olivers should work, if originality isn't a concern. What part of the US are you from? I know of rims here in Wisconsin.
