I am looking at a new Tafe tractor, which is made in India. I heard that it is built like a MF 35. Anyone

:Emery: also interested in them. Saw them at the Outdoor Show at Woodstock but the sales staff had all split for lunch. Later saw one running around, the 45 hp model with fwd and front end loader. Sure sounded like a 35. TAFE has apparently built them under licence from Massey for something like 30 years. Something like IMT in Yugoslavia (before the whole country went blooey) and URSUS in Poland. There is also an outfit in India called Mahindras(sp?) that builds small Internationals with the same setup.

I am a TAFE dealer in Arkansas. The 35DI is very similar to the MF 231. the 45DI is like the 240s massey. I have sold these tractors for 4 years and have had great luck with them. Parts we have used have all been massey parts (I'm a Massey dealer also) except fuel filters. There are other differences but they not at all like the IMT. BUY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT.
