I have a MF 200 Crawler with AD3.152 diesel engine. I have oil commimg out where you check the oil level. Not a hold lot but it is bubbling out. The oil level is haft way between min and max. What could be causing this? What do I need to do to stop it? The oil stick is all the way in.

Is it spitting oil and air? I don't want to be a pessimist but it could be a compression problem. Rings or pistons. Mine was doing the same thing and it was due to a cracked piston. With my neighbors brains and a little of my assistance, we replaced the pistons and sleeves. Now it runs like a dream. Hope I am wrong however, the basic overhaul kit is about $300 USD. I consider it well spent. It should outlive me.

The vent tube is probably kinked or plugged up. I had a 135 do the same once.

the vent tube comes of the velve cover and runs down the side of the engine on a crawler the dirt likes to fill around the engine and the end of the tube will get in it and stop the by pass air

Ed,

Remove the oil fill cap and watch for smoke escaping from it while running. If a great deal of smoke is coming from it, then it may be time for a rebuild.

If it has sufficient power, run it until it gets difficult to start or doesn't have enough power before rebuilding.

If the engine is going bad, it is a progressive problem. Get the use out of it in a practical manner in order to delay spending the money for repairs. Usually, on a complete rebuild with pistons and sleeves being replaced, the wear won't affect much more of the engine except if the diesel fuel dilutes the engine oil.

Watch the oil pressure and make sure it stays in the normal range during operation.
