I need to buy a utility trailer to transport my
Massey Ferguson 180 gas tractor between several
properties and I have no idea how much this
tractor weighs. Does anybody have a ballpark
guess? Also,
suggestions for trailers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Judd

I have a M-F 180. Does anyone know what year or years they were made? Also, where can I find aftermarket body parts?

Can't say for sure about a bare tractor, but the 6600 above sounds close as far as dry weight goes. My 180 diesel tips the scales at 9750 with loader and full load of fluid in rear tires.

Even figuring on the light end, you're definitely going to want a good tandem trailer, possibly a gooseneck if possible. I have had mine hauled a couple of times, on a 24' gooseneck behind a 1ton dually, and it made for a full load.

Hope this helps.

Judd, my book shows a M-F 180 tips the scales at just over 6600 LBS. Not sure if that is with or without fluid in the tires. I don't have a trailer so I can't recomend one but the "low profile" trailers look to me like they would be much easier to load and unload but then you need to deal with the fenders being sometimes in the way. Good luck! Jim

180G = 6,685lb
180D = 6,755lb
