I'm rebuiling my used engine and looking for a rebuild kit. Yest tractors identifies two types of diesels with the standard english engine, a 20c and 23c. How do I find out which one I own?

Derek, Your engine will be the 23C, as fitted to the Ferguson 35 and a few TO 35s built at Detroit. This engine was used until the three cylinder Perkins was fitted as the regular engine. My reference book doesnt list a 20C engine, I dont know where your supplier got that from - they may be refering to the Standard make diesel that was fitted to the TEF 20.
Hope this helps you,
Pete.

As far as I can make out, the TEF diesel had a capacity of 2092cc {127ci} & the 35, 2258cc called the 23C motor {137ci}.
Hope this helps, Manuel
