The brakes on my 1962 MF35 have slowing gone from some brakes to no brakes. I would like to know how big of a job it would be and some tips on replacing them. I have not try to adjust them yet. Or should I take it to someone that does that kind of work. I am kinda of a rookie at this. Thanks..James

Warning - be very careful of removing rear wheels as they may be loaded with water for weight. Some nasty injuries occur for those not prepared.

James, just replacing the brakes is not a really tough job. However,if your brakes have deteriorated due to leaking axle seals then it can get kind of involved. The inner seals that keep the oil in the diff. aren't too bad to change, but the outer wheel bearing seals (they keep the grease in the outer hub) are not any fun. They require removing the outer hubs and bearings along with a retaining collar that is dropped on while red hot! hope this helps
