TO-35 Old Style Hyd Pump

I disassembled the hyd pump in my '55 to-35 and was surprised to find the pistons have no rings. The parts book for the early style pump doesn't show any either even though the pistons have grooves. It would seem the the pump would work more efficiently if there were rings.?. Has anyone tried installing rings from the later style pump? My spec book shows the pistons are the some size. Thanks for any advice.

LP,

If you give me the serial number of your FE35/MF35 I will tell you when it was built. The piston should have rings on their number is 892604M1. They are in stock I have just checked.

You can update it to the later pump! I have a 55 model TO-35 and my pump was worn out. I installed the later pump and it works great! No modifications required.

e-mail if you want the part number for the later pump.
