It has been three months since I decided that my '61 MF35 diesel needed a good going over, and she's just about done.

Short of pulling the engine or transmission apart every nut and nut was taken off, and she was stripped to the frame. Removing the old paint/grease/rust/dirt was the hardest part of the whole job. Definetely the worst part of the whole affair. Tomorrow I'll prime the rear rims, fender supports and sheetmetal. I had those pieces sandblasted for $95 dollars (worth every dime). It seems like it's been longer than three months and I'll be glad when it's finished. If I can figure out how to post a photo, I'll get one here. Happy and safe tractoring.

Glad to hear it Terry. Feels a lot better to me when it's going together instead of coming apart. I'm nearly ready to post pics of the Earthmaster I've been "finishing up" for what seems like 2 months now. I had to rebuild the engine also, which made it a pretty big job for part-time fun. Sure runs sweet though. Good luck and happy tractoring!

Hi Stan:

I agree with you, it's a lot better putting them together that taking 'em apart - we're on the down hill run now. Thanks for your reply. Have a good one.

Terry
