My question concerns my Hydraulic System operation.

My recently acquired MF 35 can lift my large (class II reinforced, 8) blade to the full up position (transport position), however it sounds like the relief valve is opening and closings repeatedly. I would really like to use this blade with the MF 35 and wonder if there is any good reason why I shouldnt adjust the relief valve pressure higher. I have yet to check at what pressure it is currently opening.

The manual shows a change from a 2000 psi to a 2500 psi relief valve at serial number 168853 (my serial number is 141731)

The only other relevant entry in the manual that I see is in the trouble shooting section

RELIEF VALVE BLOWS WHEN OPERATIONAL LEVER IS RAISED TO TRANSPORT POSITION. Probable causes are:

a) Check chains twisted. (G: Not that)

b) Check chains installed in the lower holes of anchor brackets. (G: Not that either)

c) Lower links reversed. (G: Not sure what they mean by this)

Comments anyone?
