My father and I have just recently purchased a 1976 Massey Ferguson. There are no decals on it and we would like to figure out what it is. I do know
that it is not a 135 and the preivous owner said it is a '76 model and is 42 H.P. If someone could
tell me where the serial number may be and how
to decode it I would appreicate it.
Thanks John Crews

John, if you click on the heading of "Massey" on the top of these pages and find the "photo" section you will find a picture of a 245 and a 255. Take a look and see if either one matches your tractor. Good luck. Let me know. Jim

John, I dont know too much about M-F but have some good resource books. If it is in the "235", "245", or "255" series the serial no. should be "left of the steering column below the instrument panel". These tractors were made in the '75,'76 and later era with about 42 HP. find the number and post it or e-mail me and I can tell you more! [email protected] Jim T
