Was Massey-Ferguson ever owned wholly or in part by GM? If so, are they now?

I don't GM ever had a finger in MF. They are now part of Agco.

Gm never partly or wholly owned MF. GM's only attempt to enter into the farm tractor market was with the Samson tractor, which failed. They did however produce a turbo-charged engine that was used by Oliver and Cockshutt, but I am not entirely sure if MF used this engine.

I was home on leave in 1970 and the oliver dealer brought out a tractor with this engine and it was loudest thing I ever heard. Dad told him to take that Damn thing back to town.

GM supplied diesel engines to other manufacturers, too. John Deere used a 2-cyl. GM diesel in the 435 in 1959. MF sold the Model 98 in 1959 and 1960, which was actually an Oliver painted MF red. It had a 213 cu. in. GM diesel in it. Aside from that, the only other relation is the use of Delco electrical equipment by MF on some of their tractors (My 65, for one).
