MF65 backfires has no power

My MF 65 backfires when under load and has no power. I replaced the wires, distributor cap, rotor and condensor. I replaced and gapped the points and plugs. I regapped the tappet clearance. I totally cleaned and adjusted the carb. I have also adjusted the timing. However, it still backfires and has no power when under load. It also still sputters and stalls when the throttle is advanced quickly. Any suggestions?

doug, i have a mf135 doing the same thing, i also changed the igniton over to electronic,replaced everything on the ignition side, i have not rebuilt the carb (yet) but someone told me the timing might have jumped a tooth?

Thanks Glenn. I certainly hope that it has not jumped timing. But if nothing else works, I guess I will have to pull the head and see. Once I have it off, I guess I will also check the valves and seats. Good luck on your 135. Doug
