I have recently purchased a Pony Ser# PGA2284A. Could anyone tell me the year this was manufactured, where and the model number?

Thanks

Larry

I was looking in my books and it shows that the number makes it a 1948. The only thing that is a little strange is the Letters in front of the serial number. In 1948 it started with PGS instead of PGA. In 1949 the Letters read PGA. Your tractor might have been built close to the change. But I would say your tractor is a 1948. Hope this is some help.

As an aside, the difference between PGA and PGS is factory Adjustable front axle vs factory Standard (non-adjustable) front axle.

It was taken from the right front, but I will double check it to make sure.

Thanks for taking the time to look it up.
