In July I purchased a 1967 mf 135 uk model. it ran beautifly
until, like a fool I ran out of fuel. At the time decided to replace the
fuel filters, and bled the system as required. The tractor ran fine for about 2 days , and then stalled. Now when I bleed the system the tractor will run for about 10 to 15 minutes then stall. The massey operators manual nor service manual has been
much help in troubleshooting. A massey mechanic suggested I rebuild the fuel pump, which
I did, still having same problem.

Thanks, JR

The first place to check would be the fuel filters that you changed. I have ran in to all kinds of problems there, check the o'ring on the stem in the middle of the filter head, next check the filter itself, I always use CAV filters, because some of the other brands especially Wix & NAPA filters only have a small opening around the outer edge of the filter, and fuel supply can be cut almost completely off with these filters if the wrong gasket is used. If that does not cure the problem start at the fuel tank and check fuel supply from tank all the way to injection pump.
