Have acquired a MF 9' haybine (sorry to use your trademark you NH guys). I don't know the model # due to the data plate being chewed up, but the previous owner said it is identical to a Ford 535. Can you guys give me a MF model #??

TIA

Your mo-co is probably a 925. They were built by Badger Manufacturing. The 725 was the seven foot equivalent. They were well built except for the lack of clearance of the rubber roller. Mine was a real cutting machine if the gopher mounds were not a factor

I think that was a model # 81 and MF called it a "haytender".

I'm leaning toward the 81, but still not sure. This is an old machine. There is a pic of the 535 Ford version on toytractorshow.com. (Sorry didn't know how to put a pic straight on here.) There is a lot of other old equipment to look at on the same page, so plan on spending a while there.

Thanks all,

Hello All

I read through this discusion with great interest. I just looked at an MF 925 yesterday, early 80's vintage. I also happen to have an old NI 290 mo/ditioner as my backup. The NI 290 and Ford 535 are the same machine. Niether of these looked at all like the MF925 that I saw. The MF925 had fixed forming shields and hood more like a NH, while the Ford 535 and NI290 have hinged shields and no hood.

What struck me as odd was there appeared to be no floatation on the MF925, just up or down. Is that true?
