I found a MF65 with a loader (dump bucket not trip)
for $2500. It runs ok, hyd. cylinders leak, all
sheetmetal is ok. How much is it worth? I am new
to tractors.

Hope it is not the piece of junk mine is. If it has a Freeman loader, you cannot find replacement cylinders, and parts are unreasonably high...because it is a Continental gas instead of diesel. ex. radiator(the part I am in need of THIS time) is only available from MF and is $1350!! If it were diesel, it would be $375.

It is also uncomfortable to drive for hours on end (if it can be driven for that long without needing something repaired)

Oh yeah, TIP: it only takes PX-90 hydraulic fluid. any other will deteriorate seals.

But other than all the moving parts ...and many that don't move, it's a fine fine tractor.

I just paid more w/o a bucket (but w/ a bush hog).

It is a good tractor -- at that price, your in Ford N territory and this is a newer, nicer, more refined tractor w/ 2.5 X horspower - good deal if you can swing it!

The avg auction price for the MF65 in 1995 was $2100 without the loader. They go for alot more in Southern IN. Dennis H.

Sounds like a bargain! If it runs good and the trip loader works ok, it makes a great brush hog machine, among many other uses. That price you can't go wrong! Good luck and let me know how you make out

I agree with these guys, good price. I would like to know where some of these prices are at. In Ohio you are not going to find them that cheap.

Thanks, Red Dog
