1959 MF65 gas
Last weekend my fan blade hit something and knocked two of the blades clear off. I think the fan hit the clean air pipe. But it also put a small hole in my radiator. Now I have everything apart radiator fixed, but the water pump pulley has about a 1/2" of slop. Is this normal?? Can I buy a water pump with the a pulley attached, if so where?? I have looked and can not fine one. And I don't have the tools to pull or push a new pulley onto the old pump.
Thanks for any help.
Todd

Sounds like the water pump end-play may have allowed the fan to hit the clean air tube. Never heard of this happening, but I suppose it could.

If it were me, I would simply order the few parts you need to rebuild it from your nearest Massey Ferguson dealer (now known as AGCO-Allis of course). Should be able to keep the cost below $50 bucks.

As far as getting the pulley off, just stop by a local machine shop, or any other type of farm machinery repair shop for that matter. They should be able to do it for a few bucks, or maybe even free if they are in a good mood. Putting it back on should not be a problem.

If you do want a new one, you can order new replacement water pumps from Quality Farm and Country or other mail order suppliers. If I recall correctly the new replacement is over $150, and a rebuilt one is almost $200 . . . That's right, the rebuilt one is more than the new one. Doesn't really make sense to me, but there is a lot of things that I don't understand.

If you want, I can look up the part numbers for you, or get more info on a new one.
