Can anybody give me any help on when my combine was made? It is Massey Harris 35 self propelled with 7 ft head. Machine Model number is: 35/915058Z1.
Machine Serial Number is: 91501465.
Motor Type: F140 ( 4 cyl - Contential)
Motor Serial Number: 39255

It has a Massey Harris Ferguson tag on it and has the 3 triangle decal for MF on the back but all the other decals say Massey Harris.

Any information and help would be appreciated!!

According to HOTLINE Farm Equipment Guide your 35SP combine would be a 1959 model according to the serial number.

If you ever need parts for your machine I have several used parts.

Thanks,

The numbers mean little to me, just the machine.
1962 was the last year these MF manufactured models carried the legendary MH banner. Again, Massey shot itself in the foot, with a shoddy
transition on the larger MH silver decals. They
actually scraped the MH decals off inventory
models sold in 1963. Then touched up the larger
bare steel with red paint and placed the longer,
but smaller MF decal over the unsanded, paint
touch up. This change was obvious to anyone who
had a 1962 model and saw the bandaid 'upgrade'
for 1963. Amateur approach on the long, downward
spiral of product integrity. I saw several of these 1963 combines over the years, always knowing
by the hack job, what year they were.
