I've now read several hundered messages about what color to paint the tractor, whats the proper paint schemes and codes. My question is : If i paint my MF35 candy apple red is this a sin against God and man? What I mean is why is everybody so concerned about the original color? I understand it if your doing a full restore but just the garden varity of users like me trying to make his tractor look nice ? Thanks

Intersting that so many people, myself included thought the paint choice should be a "no Brainer" ofcourse! they say paint it the original color! Well that is true if you are doing a restore and want it to look like a showroom piece from that era. however, the object of paint is to protect the metal from the elements, so with that in mind and you dont want any artistic effect, just go to the bassement and get any metal covering paint you can find and apply it as if you were selling it to a blind person,,, however remember the things you do reflect your true inner personality. and God dosent care what color you paint it, He didnt invent them any how ! Glad to see someone thinking outside of the box,, but so do I,, good luck with the pokadots

Steve- I guess because its a MF it should be red and gray. Blue is for Fords and green for Deeres and so on, but I suppose people figure if your going to paint, you might as well use the right colors..... red, flint gray metallic and silver mist. Besides, that's a pretty good combination isn't it.
