We are moving to a farm that puts up about 2000 bales per cutting and have found out that the man who does our hay is selling his equipment and retiring. He has a massey-ferg 135 that he is asking 4500 for and a john deere 2010 that he wants way too much for. I have heard horrid things about the jd so I wouldn't consider it, but was wondering what people think of that model massey, and what the retail value is for one in a decent condition. Thanks!

If the 135 is a diesel in good condition, with good rubber then it sounds like a good price, especialy if it's a UK model.Fantastic working tractor, dependable and smart looking

hi I have a 135 uk model , great little tractor, this is the second one I have owned and would do again , so if it runs well and looks good that price seems fair

Stay away from the J.D. 2010! They are junk.

That's a fair price for a great tractor. The 135 is a workhorse and should do you a fine job.

What's the condition of the rubber?
Gas or diesel?
6 spd or 8 spd transmission?
