We have a Super 90 with a "weak" hydraulic system - PS and 3 pt are slow and can't lift much. Is it due to plugged oil filtration or bad pump? Do we have to break the tractor in two to get at the pump to repair it? How costly $$$?
Thanks for the help.

Try replacing the filter located in the line at the upper left of the engine area first. If the tractor has to be split to get at the pump, it will get quite spendy to repair. I'm not sure if you can get at the pump through the top plate (under the tractor seat) or not, got a guy checking on that, will post again when I find out.

Yes, I had to split the Super 90 to get the hyd pump out. Its not a difficult tractor for a couple of guys to split. Pump comes out easy after its split. I got a good used pump from a wrecker, about $400 canadian. Make sure the hyd filter is installed properly. I found mine was in crooked and the pump was drawing unfiltered oil. The filter can be accessed through the square plate on the top of the trans. housing.
