I just bought two massey harris ponys, model 812 & 820 (1952 & 1958)
Having no experience with tractors what so ever, only mechanical experience is a 2CV citroen...
Every tip or info is welcome as i do not know very well where to start...
The youngest one was still working, but elektricity has been redone,(not really well)...
After some tries, which gave me some explosions butnot more, the engine seems to be out of tune (?)
Explosions in carburator and oil is being thrown out of the airfilter...
thx in advance

Wom,
There is a guy that sells photocopied copies of the owners and parts manual on e-bay. they sell kinda high, but what you're you gonna do? the engine is used in many older fork trucks and i've been told parts are available from clark. time for tdc till you get a manual. i think i would check compression. which my luck the backfiring would be a burnt valve. at this point i would say do not use the hand crank as it might backlash on you. i know there are pony experts out their but i have not found any yet.
