I bought a kit, rebuilt the carb. Still having trouble. At 1st everytime I installed it gas countinued to pour out. I found that that I needed to seperate the arms on the float, it was sticking. I also bent each arm down so in theory it would close the needle sooner. Now I think I have got the float out of wack. It is not flooding but it will not run. It may fire from time to time but if fizzles out quickly. What is the distance I should set the float from the base of the carb? I assume you turn the top peice of the carb upside down w/o the bottom attached to get the measurement?

Any help would be great.

That kit should have come with a set of instructions and what looks like a small cardboard carpenter's square. Those two items are essential for accurate float position.
