I was digging post holes; then the three-point hitch would not lift the auger out of the hole. After checking the oil level, I found out that there was some water mixed in with the oil (due to rain). So I drained the oil out and put fresh oil in. Now the three-point hitch will not do anything. Help! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Could be the water ruined your filter if it has a paper element. This happened to me once.

Did you check to see if you may have bumped the draft control lever. If it is set low it will not raise anything heavy.(some models it is by your feet, others it is behind the seat.) Also some MF have a lever that will shut off the oil to the 3pt and divert it to the aux. spools giving you more flow for a faster lift for impliments

Probably not the cause but may have been overlooked.

The relief valve may be bad. There may be air in the system after changing oil. I don't know your model, but my TO30 has an adjustment near the dipstick that affects how the lift works. Thats my ideas, perhaps one of the more knowledgable guys can help.
