External hydraulic control question on MH50

I have an external hydraulic control on my MH50 and am having a bit of trouble understanding exactly how it should work. When I use it with my disk mower that has a single action cylinder to bring the implement up. I use the external control lever just in front of the seat to both drop the three point hitch and allow the mower bar to drop. It works well. My problem is, and maybe there is no solution, that lever controls both the external cylinder on the implement as well as the three point hitch. Is there a way to use the hydraulics on this tractor so the two functions are controled seperately? I just purchased a loader bucket for the hitch and have a hydraulic top link for dumping the bucket, but, the top link operates after the three point hitch is down so the bucket won't dump when it is flat on the ground. It works fine coming up.

The easiest solution is to install a dual spool control valve under the seat. You can hook your hoses to the right side of the valve and leave the left side plugged off. This set up will let you operate the external cylinder with the right lever and operate the three point lift with the left lever. This can be a problem if your lift leaks down fast. You will have to continually hit the left lever to bring the three point lift back up.

This was a poor set up on M.F. tractors. The easiest solution is to install a dual spool control valve, hook your hoses to the right side of the valve and leave the left side plugged. The right side handle will operate your external cylinder and you can use the left lever to operate the three point lift. You may have problems with this if your three point lift leaks down very fast, you will have to keep hitting the left lever to raise the three point back up when the lift leaks down.
