I have a chance to buy a turf 35 for around $3500.00.
Can anybody tell me anything about a Turf 35? Does this sound like a good price? I'm looking for a tractor to mow 10 acres and move some snow.
Would this be as good as a Ford 601?
Thanks, Jerry Elam

I have a MF-35 Turf Special...You'll find on dash below meters a metal decal. It has heavy steering knuckles as I call them..Power steering, mine leaks, and power as any MF-35..Rebuilt gas engine 3 years ago and it runs great..paid 2800 in 1992 and rebuilt engine, new clutch and misc for about $2000.00 dealer tells me its worth at leasts $4-5K. I cut about 3 acres grass plus plow and disc about 1/2 acres every year and have a 6' blade for snow removale. Mark

I don't know about the 35 but there is a Turf 135. Basically it's an MF-135, built especially for golf course duty, mainly to pull large gang mowers. It has smaller diameter wheels and tires, but they are much wider, with a turf tread instead of agricultural. The one that I'm familiar with is painted yellow, and also has short front axle spindles to get it down closer to the ground. Looks like one of these so called "slam pickups" that the kids are now into.

It could be thts what he ment. I haven't looked at the tractor up close. I'm looking for something to mow pasture and push snow. I might need chains to push snow.

The dealer called it a Turf 35, So I assumed it was an option package of a 35.
It may be an invention of a tractor dealer who wants to Make a sale!

The turf tractors are generally the same as a regular 35 except for the tires having a smoother tread designed for grass use where they don't leave the lug marks.

I hate to be ignorant, but I've never heard of a "Turf 35". Is it different from a "35"?
