Power Steering Fluid

I have a 1970 MF 150 and am about to replace the filter in the powersteering pump. What type fluid should I refill with? I searched the archives and there was an about an equal split between 1129 (tranny fluid) and Dextron II. Thanks in advance.

Don,
Dextron II or Dextron III ATF is the recommended PS fluid for most Massey's. However I think you could use just about any hydraulic fluid or even engine oil and it would also work good. Their not too picky about fluid, just put clean fluid in.

ANY GOOD TRACTOR HYD. FLUID WILL WORK FINE.I WOULD NOT USE A.T.F. GOOD LUCK LANCE
