Recently purchased a massey "project tractor" and hope to dig in this spring. Any help with an ID for this one so I could get some manuals would be great. It is about the size of a farmall H, gas, narrow front. most interesting thing is a non-hydraulic three point hitch which is a large gear box under the seat to which the top link fastens and apparently rotates in a circle to provide up and down movement. Any idea on model or where to look for serial numbers?

Is the unit on your tractor for a three point hitch or a cultivator lift? Describe the tractor further. Tire size, transmission speeds, type of engine? Serial numbers can be found on engine tub right where it bolts to the transmission on the left hand side. When you find the serial numbers, post back here on this site and we'll find it for you.

The s/n can also be found on most Massey-Harris on the top of the tranny housing (stamped in and usually covered in grease). Will usually read something like this 30G1RF1001.

We have many M-H tractors around and lots of data. If you need any more info at all call 814-425-2930 evenings. (E-mail is checked infrequently)
