I have just come into posession of a 1963 MF-35 Delux. I changed the transmission/hydraulic system lube. I put in tractor hydraulic fluid. Did I do right? If not, what should go in there?

According to my MF service manual that I have for my 63 35 the oil used to lubricate the trans and differential is SAE.90 for temperatures above 50 F. and SAE80 for temperatures below 50 F. Capacity of these combined units is 8 US gallons.

The MF 35 takes 8 gallons of MF spec. 1103 transmission and hydraulic oil. Look on the cans and see if the oil you put in matches these specs.
