I am wanting to purchase a grader blade for my 56 HP, MF270. Any advice on the length that I should look at? Is an 8 footer too big? Thanks.

I have a 6' box scraper on my MF-2135 and it's under 30 hp.

You can certainly handle an 8' blade from a hp standpoint. Another thing to consider is that 8' of blade doesn't work 8' of road when it's sitting at an angle. I don't think you would find 8' to be too long.

Other options you may want to consider are:

* Blade offset * Power tilt * Reversable blade

Take a look at the LandPride line. I've been real pleased with their quality and service.

When it comes to looking at the price, remember you get what you pay for. Cheap price will make you smile once and frown everytime you use a cheap implement after that. If you buy quality, you may wince when you pay for it but you'll smile everytime you use it.
