A friend of mine bought a book at an antique shop the other day, "Science of Successful Threshing"-published 1904. It's about 51/2x8", 228 p. The interesting thing about it is that the outside cover is in English, but everything inside is German. Judging by the illustrations, it covers the Case seperator, but also the steam tractor, in quite some detail. Has anybody ever seen or heard of such a book? Was it intended for export or for German-immigrant customers in this counrty? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Ron.

I have an English language version of the same book. Case T.M. exported large numbers of their separators and other implements. The German book was probably intended for the export market.

Sorry I can't offer any information, but I wanted to say that it sounds like a really interesting item. I have a Case history book, I'll look in there to see if they exported to Germany way back then.
