With all the choices of new and old farm toys out there, I still have a list of replica's that I'd like to have, that just aren't available. I'm sure everyone has that "list" too.

What would you like to see in the coming months that hasn't surfaced yet?

Here's my picks;

1.) A Precision 4320 Deere (with or without a cab)
2.) An accurately detailed wheel disc of some shape or form...
3.) A 1/16th scale combine (Something a little more modern than the Ertl JD 45....Maybe a Deere 6600 or a 95/105)
4.)Some "short-liner" impliments in the Precision series. (i.e. a Vermeer round baler, or a New Holland Haybine)

Let's hear your choices! John

I want to see a 1/16th or 1/10th scale cub cadet original. Bout time we get a decent diecast model of this famous garden tractor.

A little late, but I'd like to see a IH 300U or 350U, and a McCormick W-4 or W-6

I like the older, unusual stuff. It would be nice to see a tractor line of "oddball" tractors. I have the "high detail" Graham Bradley. How about Silver King, Lehr Big Boy, Leader, etc?

John: Like you there are a few I'd like to find. During my farming years I picked up a few IH Ertl at local dealer. In my opinion there was nothing precission about these. Farmalls SM, 706, SA and 1086 just to name a few.

Now, for a wish list how about a precission Farmall 656 wf, Oliver Super 77 or 88, Allis D-12, MF 35, Ford 8N. Now I know I have my green one in there but how about JD 1120 or 7520.

I actually know very little about these toys, what is considered precission and what is not considered precission. Ertl indicates much of what they turn out today is precission, but I can't see it. Maybe I'm being a bit too rigid as I am comparing with Sterling Mint. So John & Stan I need some educating. I've lost my urge on full size tractors, mainly because I don't like grease any more. Sure I'm getting old and cantankerous. I just want my tractors in the house where it's warm.

I enjoy the precision series. They look like they will start up and run with detail including plug wires, etc. They have already made 2 versions of the Super 77 and also the 8N.

I would like to see more implements for the tractors to pull no matter what era they represent. A nice chisel plow or disc would be great. With all the tractor mounted corn pickers they have made it would be nice to see a New Idea pull type that wasn't made out of resin.

John,

I'll go along with the more "modern" type of implement, but in my case it would be a 1/16 A-C 60 "All-Crop" combine. That Franklin Mint 1/12 was really neat, but I just don't like that scale. Apparently others did not either, as I saw that Binkley-Hurst out in Pennsylvania had them for $125 a month or so ago.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hey Stan,

There is an AC 60 combine available in 1/16 scale. Out at the National Auction last year I bought an AC All Crop 90 made by Ridgeway. He makes models of all the All Crop combines even including the baggers and self-propelled. There was an article about the Ridgeway combines a few months ago in Toy Farmer. They are expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

Adam,

Thanks for the reply. I didn't answer sooner because I can't figure out how to get replies to my postings to notify me by e-mail. It's not Kim's system, but my 'puter, I think.

I've seen Ridgeway's combines at the National...guess I'm just too cheap to spring for one. A buddy of mine has a couple of them that he's bought at the auction.

Best regards,

Stan
