Pencil question

As if I needed "another hobby" it looks like I do. I started collecting toy tractors many years ago. Then I started collecting seed corn signs. That has led (small pun-intended) to my collecting mechanical lead pencils with seed corn logo's and names on them. I've accumulated about 2 dozen so far. (My favorite is an old Pioneer "floaty" It has milo seed in a clear tube at the top end of the pencil) Anyway, does anyone else collect these pencils? Do you know about any books on the subject? So far, I'm just buying what looks good. I have no idea what is rare or valuable. Thanks in advance. John

John,

I can't offer any advice on what's collectable or not, but there were several batches of bullet pencils at the National Farm Toy Show in Dyersville last month.

Maybe you need to go there next year (if you haven't already been).

I've a few of them Bullet pencils from an old JD dealership.

Also have several Pocket Pal note books from an old JD dealer.

Mitch,

Good to hear from you. You might want to reply to Indydirtfarmer's post if you want to sell these items.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,
