Such a hard thing to find, but I have had some luck. I am wondering, why is the price to high for the late model White toy tractors- the 160, and Workhorse series in particular. It makes it so hard to collect without a major investment of money...

I have not seen a lot of them, so I would say that they are kind of rare, in my area at least. My suggestion would be to try to find ones that had been through the sand box and restore them. That can also sink a lot of money in a tractor but they look really good.

the problem with trying to restore a White is that the older ones are half plastic, and thats why those are so rare. I got a 2-135 from that era, I am just wanting a few later model ones before Agco got into the picture. I am guessing the dealer network was breaking down for White, and that must be putting the demand up for the late model Whites....or am I wrong???

That sounds like good a theory to me.
