I have recently acquired and ERTL Co. Model # 520 pedal tractor and was wondering if anyone could give me some information on this toy. Is it a John Deere? Would anyone know its value?

The # 520 body casting was used for about 20 years, and yes, it is a John Deere. The first version was a replica of the 4430 tractor which came out in '1972 or '73. The second version replicated the 4440 model John Deere and the third version replicated the 4450 (this would have been up into the late '80s).

Value depends on condition, of course, but they're fairly common and might be worth $150 - $200 in really good condition.

i too have a 520 which i sold to a customer in the 25 year ago range, the lady had returned it because one of the 2 tricycle wheels would not roll,25 years later it still won't! i had told her it would wear down,it went thru all my kids ,was given to another fellow employee and has now returned home to my grandkids.it was and industrial yellow version but i have changed it to green the two things i need for it are the rear hub caps and the bottom guard ,any idea where these could be bought?
