I have a old pedal tractor which has been in my family for at least 30 years. The only thing I have been able to find out about it is that it used to say "Castelli" on the side of it. It is not cast it has a tube frame. I would like to restore it for my boys. Can anyone tell me who made it, or where I can find parts, decal, or information on this ? Thank you,Bryan

Just ran into this by accident... are you still looking for info on Castelli tractors or restoring one? If so, I know someone locally who restores them and know a lot about their history. Let me know.
Sam

I bought a Castelli tractor at a local Ohio farm show for $15 in June 06. It was missing the front wheel. I just so happened to have a ribbed wheel in a junk box that matched the red/rust of the tractor. It is otherwise complete. It shows much use but no serious abuse, except for sitting in a barn rusting. There is a hole in the shifter but no sign of a knob.

Castelli pedal tractors were produced by the FC Castelli Company in Philadelphia. Most were made in the 50's and maybe a few years in the 60's, but I am not sure. I have one also and its impossible to find any original parts. You can get replacement tires, chains and pedals at any pedal car parts supplier on the net.

The company made alot of stamped metal kids toys, doll furnitue, baby swing, pedal tractors, a push and pull rider and even a pedal vespa. Good Luck

I have a red castelli pedal tractor. It is in very good condition. Everything is original (tires, paint) and shows some wear, but still has a very nice appearance. I am curious about the value of this neat antique. Please e-mail with any information or pictures. Thanks!

My bother has an old Castelli that was bought for him when he was a small boy. There is some of the tractor left over the years, but some parts are still there. The front wheel is missing along with the steering wheel. Are you set up on your computer to scan if you are would you scan us a picture of it so we can tell what they may look like? His was the chain and pedal type instead of the front and back push type pedal. Any info on this little tractor would be appreciated. Please answer me back. I get agrivated at these people that you ask for info and they don't even answer you back. Thanks Larry

Bryan,
Contact "Samuelson Pedal Parts" (not sure I spelled that right). Do a search for "toy tractor parts" and you should find their link. If anyone would know, they would.
I think there is a Castelli tractor on ebay now.
Hope I helped,
Mitch
