Have a 49 B with I believe a 50 loader. The loader pauses about half way through the up or down stroke. Also when the lever is first moved the rocker shaft turns about one-quarter turn. the loader is plumbed into the side of the control block and the metering valve is turned all the way in. The hydraulic oil also seems to foam too much. Thanks for any help or sources for info.

When I was a kid my dad had a loader on a 49 B. We put the loader on a Farmall M later and it worked a lot better. While it was on the B however, here are some ideas on how he got by...

You really need a manual to figure out how to hook up a loader to a Power-Trol. You switch some plugs and use only one of the outlets for a gravity-down laoder. I don't remember what Power Trol lever turns which way any more. The rocker shaft turning means you probably don't have things set up quite right yet.

The foaming oil means it is probably detergent motor oil. You need either nondetergent motor oil or hydraulic oil.

As I remember the B didn't have a big enough reservoir to run a loader properly. Dad had a big piece of galvanized pipe threaded into the oil filler to increase capacity a little.

There's also a JD Power-Trol repair video for sale on this site. That would probably show operation hints too.
