HA HA HA HA, Boy that 2banger guy is a real stitch aint he? He should spend less time on the discussion board and more time wrenching on his stroker G for this years pullin!!! As far as 70 mods go all I can do is tell you what I did and you can take it from there. It has .045 over 70 gas pistons and stock stroke. I had Berry Cam Service in Lester Prairie, MN (320) 395-2377 grind a cam for stock R.P.M. but more power. The cam and lifters cost $144.00. I ported the intake manifold and head, had the valves ground with 3 angle seats. I took a torch tip cleaner and opened up the carburator jets a little. The exhaust manifold end is milled out a little larger than stock with the divider taken out. I built a dry element intake filter out of PVC (that was 2bangers idea, and worked great). The filter is a long thin precleaner filter for a big tractor that is located in front of the radiator, under the hood. I still want to mess with a bigger carb because I think it could use it, and also put electronic ignition on it. All said and done I ended up with 67 hp on the dyno. It still has lug ability and is a great plow tractor. I believe with some more tuning I will be at 70+ hp this spring.

You need to talk to BIGIRON. I know that he has strong running 70 gas. I belive its a .045 over JD pistons, head work and a cam. I can't really tell you how much power but it pulls real good. It has 18.4's and pulls a 4-14 plow. It can almost hang with my 720 Diesel pulling a 4-16 plow. He usually posts on this board and I'm sure you will hear from him. Come on and talk to us BIGIRON.
