I suspect the one you saw is just painted that way. I went back to a March 2000 issue of Green Magazine and J.R. Hobbs made no mention of a true Industrial 5020.

You still do see some of the 5010's (maybe the I version) and 5020's at work pulling sheepsfoot packers, for sure.

There was an industrial 5020, it was called the JD700A. The previous industrial 5010s were called the JD700. There was also an "offset" industrial 5010, called the 5010I.

The JD700A was basically the same as a 5020, but it did have a VERY different look, with flat grille, etc. I haven't gone over all the changes yet. Another project!

If it is a normal looking 5020, it just recieved a yellow paint job, and is not an official industrial version, like Stan said.

Visit my website below if you want to see pictures of JD700s (looks just like a JD700A)
