I am installing a cab on my 4020 however, I need help on what to change over and where I can get the parts.
First of all, My water pump has space to run only one belt and I will need a double pully to run an air conditionair compressor. Does anyone know where I can get one? Also, it has two hoses for the heater. Will I need to change the water neck or just tie in some way to the coolant system for this?
Last, I have a front end loader on it and I know I will need to re-mount the controls since it is currently mounted on a arm that is connected to the loader itself. Where and how do most mount the loader controls when using a cab?
Any tips and help woyld be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ron

I put a Hiniker cab on my 4020 this summer. I don't have air, but i have heat. I taped into th thermostat housing for the hose going to the heater and into the botton of the radiator for the hose going away from the heater.

RON, THE JOHN DEERE CAB FOR YOUR MODEL HAD AIR-CONDITIONING AVAILABLE SO GET A PARTS BOOK AND YOU CAN FIND THE BRACKETS,COMPRESSOR ETC THERE.
THE EASIEST WAY IS TO USE THE TRACTOR VALVES FOR THE LOADER, YOU WILL LOOSE SOME SPEED BUT NOT MUCH.ALSO LOOK UP THE JD CAB HEATER FITTINGS TO SEE HOW DEERE DID IT . HOPE THIS HELPS DON

We have a '68 4020 too with a year a round cab. Heater we just tap in. AC I have no clue. We made a bat. box and mounted to the frame below the starter or between the loader and steps because there is no way to keep originals. Bat cables for cab are avaliable and alot easier to take care of. We had to remove the single foot steps to bolt cab to the holes that were used for the steps. We use the 2 remotes out the back and the levers on the dash. I like that way better than on the loader. It is a JD 48 loader. All I know!
