Got it back together and got it running. While I had the crankcase cover off, I increased the oil pressure - maybe too much - now it is about 21 #. Too much?

I'd have driven it but the steering wheel had been welded to the shaft. I had to rebuild the taper and cut a new keyway in the shaft and build a new key. Didn't have time to finish the key. But it the tractor does run great! A litle howl from the gears but not objectionable.

Thanks for all the advice and help.

Clooney - sorry about my spelling goof on your name. Seems like I always miss something. Sorry.
