A friend of mine put an 820 engine block on his 830. He did this because the motor was locked up on the 830. When he got it running he said that oil wasn't getting to one of the pistons. I was wondering if the different block has anything to do with it or if he put it back together wrong? Maybe something else is wrong? Any help or suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What exactly are you saying about oil not getting to the piston? If you mean through the rod to the piston pin, that would be a plugged oil gallery in the rod, or crankshaft. If it is not picking up oil and lubing the cylinders, that has to do with the backside of the block and the oil wiper rings on the bottom of the piston. The block should not have anything to do with that. The only thing I could think of that would not work may be the valve/rocker arm assy. not getting oil due to a little different setup in the galleries, and not oiling the fuel pumps properly. Hope this gives you some ideas? Good luck
