When I run my 1939 B, (S/N 80018), with both cylinders, the #2 plug oil fouls.

If I run the #2 with #1 plug removed, light brown plug on #2. I pull the #1 plug to test the carburetion without the #1 robbing Fuel/Air flow.

Good compression in both:

#1 = 62 psig
#2 = 64 psig

Any thoughts.

Thanks.

THERE TWO THING THAT DOES THAT 1 IS THAT THE OIL RING ON #2 IS SHOT AND AN OTHER THAT DOES IT IS THE MAG HAS A FLAW IN IT. IF YOUR TRACTOR DOESNT BURN OIL ITS YOUR MAG. YOUR ROTOR BUTTON OR YOUR CAP MAY BE WORE OUT IT THE ONLY TWO THING THAT CAN DO IT BECAUSE MY B DID THE SAME THING IT NEEDED RINGS AND THE MAG TUNE UP I DIDNT FIX THE RINGS IN IT YET BUT HAS REALLY GOOD COMMPRESSION BUT IT NEEDS RINGS IN IT STILL WHICH CAUSES TO FOUL OUT. BUT IT QUIT MOST OF ITS FOULING PROPBLEM AFTER I REDID THE MAG.CHECK THOSE 2 THINGS

Thanks for the tip. I'll be checking the mag later this weekend. I may rotate the mag 180 and let it fire on the #2 only by switching plug wires and see if it fouls with #1 plug in but not firing.
