Torque specs for JD 'G'

I thought I had posted this correctly earlier today, but I'm not finding it on the board.

Hubby has been re-building our 1950 JD 'G' out in the garage--pieces and parts are everywhere! He's ready to put it all back together now (YAAAAY--I can put the car back in the garage!), except that he can't find information in our books about the torque specs for the head and rod caps (hope I've got that straight). Can someone help? I don't know if this helps, but the serial no. for our 'G' is 31371.

Kathie, I heard that Real Women like their men to keep his JD tractor in the garage while the little womans car sits out in the cold???? (Ducking) lol lol Hope my first wife (as I lovingly refer to her after 32 lucky years) dont read this. I always tell her a man could bring home worse things than an old tractor!!!!! Hey, I think I'm a pretty good sport, actually. There's an HD parked in the garage right in front of the JD; and several not insignificant other "toys still to be turned into tools" (that's the tounge-in-cheek measure for procurement validation at our house) scattered throughout the barn! All I'm asking for is a parking space--just a little one!

Now, just thinking out loud, if that was an 'R' parked out in the garage, I might be willing to give up my parking space for a really L-O-N-G time!

Kathie, My I&T Shop Service Manual shows the rod bearings should be torqued at 62.5 ft.-lbs. for the G JD.

I know the head torques on 210 ft pounds but off hand I don't know the rod torque w/o looking it up.Hope this helps some.Later Jack(TN).
