All:

Could someone please tell me what the fluid capacity of a '70' D power-steering system is ?

I'm away on the road, and my daughter is going to make a parts run to the dealer for me, and I want to make sure I have enough fluid on hand as I re-assemble this weekend.

Thanks !

Frank-in-Tallahassee (where they say it might get into SINGLE digits tonight !!!!! !!)

Frank

The operators manual says 5 Qts.

The high today was 7* in Ohio.

Frank,

We Hoosiers wanted to give you a good welcome - so Friday morning it's going to be 2 or 3 below.

Let's see... is a brass monkey that's had the cajones frozen off called a steer, a gelding, or maybe to be "hip" we'll make references to an ex Florida resident by the name of Ted Williams. Sad state of affairs, that. Where's this Global Warming politicians have been promising?? Probably in the bank with the social security "trust fund".

Here's hoping you make a speedy return to you home.

Steve

Steve:

Well, I've been coming up here weekly since June to work on a business systems project, so I get to see ALL the types of weather the Midwest can experience !

It's been great, though, because I grew up about 100 miles to the east, just over the border in Ohio. I get to visit my mom quite often, and see the spot where we dragged my old '70' out from under a downed barn.

I'm in Tallahassee now, and it got down to 14*. The locals are stunned !

Frank,

Hope it's good duty coupled with old home week. Maybe we'll be more hospitable next time around. That's a great story about your 70. You have every right to be proud.

take care.. keep those citrus groves warm!

Frank, I'm sure they were all 5 quarts, a 630 manual I'm going to sell was sitting right here and that's what it says. Might get an extra, just to have.

Jim
