I asked this question awhile ago but jsut getting back to it. I'm doing a 38' B that had ruined the splines on the clutch. I got a .045 under hub from Denglers, which is fine fitting on the splines but comes in contact with the clutch before it gets in to place. The drive gear hasn't worked itself out the hub fits the splines like it should. So I did some measuring and I come to the conclusion that my hub has the splines cut backwards. Heres the measurements tell me what you guys think. measurements from flat surface, the first number is the new -.045 hub and the second is the old hub
from flat- flywheel side up 2 1/8 1 1/2
center hub to drive area -0.125 0.125
Total thickness of drive area 1.5 1.5
from flat- clutch side up 1.5 1.75
Hub to drive area 0.5 -0.1875

Sorry so long
thanks in advance
