according to parts you would have to change manifold...might be cheaper to do what the lower post said or carry to muffler shop and let them put in a 180 on you exhaust pipe and put muffler on it ..without some kind of support would be a lot of weight ...have nice day may god bless

We had this same problem with a 1020 especially when we ran the three-point wood splitter. We just fabbed up a "stack attachment" that went on and off with just a pin that went right through the pipe and one other quick release clamp. The stack went straight up in the rear.....no ROPS.

Have a couple Deeres with a rear exhaust and they were a pain come time to hook up equipment. Got around it by running the exhaust pipe up the back off the rollguard with a curved extension away from the operators seat. Its a cheap way out but works okay for our purposes. And you wont have to cut your hood.

I have seen the same thing done by local farmers with the exhaust under the tractor. The John Deere I seen done this way was used by a gentleman who had skin cancer and had the ROPS with the roof. The exhaust was fastened to the rear support and exited above the roof.
