Can someone tell me how you are able to order parts from Deere on line? I asked my dealer but he would not tell me anything.

I use JDparts almost everyday, all i did was register, and i could immediately log on with my name and password, the parts catalog is almost the same as if you were to buy one, it has alphabetical and sectional listings, I have never ordered any parts, but i use it to get part numbers to take to the dealer and get an idea of a price, that way i know i am getting the right part, it will also tell you what other tractors that use the same part number that you are looking for, that comes in handy when dealing with a salvage yard. My dealer ask me where i got my numbers and i told him i got them off of the JD website and he looked at me like i was crazy.if you need any more help just email me

I am very impressed with the JDparts online. It is easy to use and provides parts manuals to all the equipment I have looked for. It gives prices and availability in dealer stock. For items like belts and bearings, it gives the technical specs so you can find an equivalent if in a bind. I ran into the same problem as you did in that my local dealer wouldn't participate in the progam. Since I have most of my parts Fedex'ed I signed up with a dealer about 120 miles away and have gotten great support. The best way to use it if you need the parts in a hurry is to identify the parts you need and then call the order in. It also saves a lot of time on the phone or crawling over the parts counter trying to look at the picture on the screen

You have to have your dealer set it up for you. Once he does you can sign in to the website. You are able to access all parts books from 1960. If you have part numbers for older tractors you can see if that part is still available, and the price. It also shows if your dealer has it in stock and you can also order parts online through your dealer. However your dealer has to have this service and work with you. If he does not email JDparts through their website and complain or go through a different dealer!!

If you are registered, you can search several different ways all the parts diagrams from 1960??? to present.

Go to www.deere.com and click on "parts" in the lower right corner of the page.

I've used parts online, but found that the prices were higher than what my dealer would do on most things. About the only thing I use it for is reference (parts catalog). The only thing I had to do was register and in a few days JD will let you know if you have been approved. If you get into major buying, I think you have to go through a credit check or something, or some kind of further complications to get the full approval.
